Dentistry has its roots in a mechanistic approach of crown and bridge dentistry. There have been many advancements including digital dentistry, CAD-CAM, biomimetics and adhesive bonding, but does it work? What is the best way to restore a structurally compromised tooth? What material should you use? And how is the best way to make it stay and last?
This evening lecture will cover:
1. Bonded vs Cemented Approach to Dentistry
2. Different Restorative Materials
3. Modern Ceramics, Hybrids, and Printed materials
4. Cementation Protocols including rubber dam
5. Overview of Biomimetic concepts – IDS and DME
6. Surface treatment and Bonding Protocols for different materials
Presenters
Dr Graieg is a Specialist Prosthodontist at the Brånemark Center in West Perth and Cottesloe Dental in Peppermint Grove. He completed a BDSc from the UWA and a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics from the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, a Consultant Prosthodontist with the Craniofacial Unit at Perth Children’s Hospital, and a Key Opinion Leader for Kerr / KaVo. His main interests are Biomimetic Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry, Minimally Invasive Prosthodontics, and both tooth and implant based Prosthodontic Rehabilitation. Josh is in private practice in West Perth.
