Description

This presentation will discuss the use of systemic antibiotics as an adjunct treatment to the initial phase of periodontal debridement. It is important to know when, how, what antimicrobials and periodontal conditions may benefit from the additional use of systemic antibiotics. Julio will include different periodontal condition cases enhanced by periodontal pocket reduction, clinical attachment gain, periodontal bone regeneration/repair, soft tissue remodelling, periodontal abscess resolution, and treatment of incisive molar and stages 3 and 4 periodontitis.

 

Presenters

Julio completed his undergraduate and post graduate degrees in Bogota, Colombia in 1991.He emigrated to Australia in 2001 and has been involved with periodontics in Australia since then. He was Lead in Periodontology at the School of Dentistry at UWA from 208 until 2021.

Dr Rincon is a registered with Dental Board of Australia as specialist Periodontist. He is a member of Australian Dental Board, Australian Dental Association (ADA), Australian Society of Periodontics (ASP), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology (ANZAP), Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in periodontology and examiner with the Australian Dental Council.
